Jonathan Morrison

Fascinated by esoteric construction methods, Jonathan began his adventures in carpentry by attending Roberto-Ven School of Lutheiry where he studied the making of stringed instruments.  After managing a furniture warehouse, he became a piano and harpsichord builder.  Later he moved into general carpentry projects, making historical restoration as his speciality. Recently his projects have included the Museum of the Shenandoah, a timber-frame gazebo for the town of the Plains, Virgnia, and restoration work at Beall-Air, the home of great-great nephew of President George Washington and a hostage in John Brown’s raid. Jonathan has worked on the reconstruction of the China Folk House since it arrived in West Virginia and been involved in our summer camp all six years.
